Boat sinks in Mediterranean

Another migrant boat drowned in the Mediterranean sea today. This is one more boat full of migrants which try to escape to Europe from all over Africa and the middle east. Over 1,829 people died just this year by trying to reach Europe. Rescue teams go out with boats and try to save as many life's as they can but the boats which the migrants come with are really small, too many people put into them and they are not in best shape. People only survive because they know how to swim and wait for help. A lot of children die because they can't swim. The numbers are getting bigger and bigger but there is no way to stop it and all the migrants try to escape the war in their own countries.

Car bomb in Somalia

The Islamist group Al-Shabab let a car bomb explode in front of a popular restaurant in the capital city in Somalia. The restaurant is near the central hotel and often visited by politicians. In the attack 11 people died and more got hurt. This was not the fist bombing at this place though. In February 20 people were killed because of a bombing at the same hotel. The Al-Qaeda linked group wants the African union to pull back their forces and leave Somalia. Al- Shabab got pushed out off the cities and most of their territory but they still rule in some of the rural areas.

Greece Nazi occupation

Greece calculated for the first time since the second world war what Nazi Germany did for a damage.  Now they want to get the money which they needed to rebuild the economy back. But Germany resolved this issue years ago before the reunion of West and East Germany. They payed 115 million Deutschmarks to Greece as a compensation. Greece claims now that that didn't cover all the expenses which the country had to face. Greece wants the money now because they owe the European Union a lot of money which the got to get out of their bancurpcy. The next big payment is due this Thursday and the Greece government the will pay it.

Spying attac on U.S.

During the U.S.-Iran proceedings last year Israel listened to the secret talks. The just new elected President of Israel used it for one of his voting speeches. This was bad acting of the Israelian government. The U.S. always camainged for Israel in the UN and tryed working out the  two state solution. But this spying on secret talks might be the reason why Pesident Obama stopped supporting Israel in their plans and especially stoped supporting the for the second time elected president Benjamin Netanjahu.
Israel on the other hand said that they wouldn't spy at friends. The U.S. government says that the information of the spy attack reached president Obama already during his talk with the Iran.
How this whole thing affected the U.S. and Israel relationship will be visible over the time.

It's getting critical in Europe

Not only Greece is starting to protest against the European Union. The countries in the south like Spain and Portugal are starting to comment critical on the EU. In countries like Spain, France or Germany political parties started being anti-EU and want to change the system.
Maybe Greece is only the start of a revolution against the European Union. So far the EU had too much power so that individuals didn't protest against their decisions but now there are more than just individuals.
Experts say that soon the parties which are against the EU will start getting more power in their countries and they will start effecting the whole government.
Europe is split and the public has no real opinion and don't know what to think about the situation.
If the governments of the European countries want to keep the EU together they have to do something so their citizens are not that critical anymore and see the positive sites of the European Union again.

The superbug is drug-resistant and killed allready two people in the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. 160 people are exposed. The superbug was probably spreaded between Oktober 2014 and January 2015 during endoscopic procedures. The hospital says that they sterilized all the instrument like the manufacturer said.
The bacteria causes infections of the bladder or lungs which leads to fever, cough or chills.
This is not the first outbreak of this kind. It happened a few years ago in Seatle.
